Vahid Nassehi

Vahid Nassehi was born on September 2, 1950 and graduated with distinction as a top student from the University of Tehran, Iran with an M.S. degree in chemical engineering in 1974. He worked as an R&D Engineer at Oil Service Company of Iran in 1976. Moreover, in 1978 and 1981, respectively, he received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from University of Wales, UK. He worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Swansea, Wales, UK from 1981 till 1986 and at Teesside University as a Lecturer of mathematics from 1986 till 1989. Moreover, Dr. Nassehi has been working at Loughborough University since 1989 and was promoted to a Full Professor and Chair of computational modelling in 2001. He has authored two books and 85 refereed journal papers and participated and presented papers in 45 international conferences. Currently, he is appointed as a Visiting Professor at the University of Surrey, UK. Furthermore, Dr. Nassehi received the Gold Medal of Filtration Society in 2005 and the Best Paper Award from Eurosis in 2008.
