Guoan Bi

Guoan Bi received the B.S. degree in radio communications from the Dalian University of Technology, China, in 1982, the M.S. degree in telecommunication systems, and the Ph.D. degree in electronics systems from the Essex University, UK, in 1985 and 1988, respectively. He worked at the Centre for Communication Systems Research, Surrey University, between 1988 and 1990. Since 1991, he came to Singapore to work as a Lecturer, a Senior Lecturer, and an Associate Professor at the school of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University. In addition to various teaching duties, his research has been mainly focused on the areas of signal analysis and processing, fast algorithms of various transforms, and estimation and detection for wireless communications. He has published about 100 refereed Journal papers and 70 conference papers. He was the Chair of the IEEE Signal Processing Singapore Chapter and has served various roles in organizing a number of international conferences. In adition, he is currently on the Editorial Board for the Journals of Signal Processing (Elsevier), Digital Signal Processing (Elsevier), and Research Letters in Communications (Hindawi).
