Jyh-Ping Hsu

Jyh-Ping Hsu received his B.S. degree in chemical engineering from National Taiwan University in 1977, an M.S. degree in chemical engineering in 1980, an M.S. degree in statistics in 1983, and Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering in 1984 from Kansas State University. He joined the Department of Chemical Engineering, National Taiwan University, as an Associate Professor in 1984, and was promoted to Professor in 1988. His research interests include water and wastewater treatments, colloid and interface science, and electrokinetic phenomena. He has published more than 300 peer-reviewed papers and articles, and 5 book chapters. He edited two monographs, Interfacial Forces and Fields, Theory and Applications, Marcel Dekker, New York, 1999, and Finely Dispersed Particles, Micro-, Nano-, and Atto-Engineering (with A. M. Spasic, CRC Press, New York, 2006). He is an Outstanding Research Chair (Outstanding Research Foundation) and a National Chair Professor (Ministry of Education, Taiwan).
