Shin-ichiro Fujii

Shin-ichiro Fujii received the M.D. and the Ph.D. degrees from the Kumamoto University, Japan, in 1990 and 1997, respectively. Since 1993, Fujii has studied dendritic cell biology, cancer immunotherapy, and immune response in retroviral infected patients. In 1999, he was a Research Fellow under Professor M. T. Lotze at the Pittsburgh University, Pa, USA. From 2000 to 2004, Fujii was a Senior Research Associate of the Laboratory of Cellular Physiology and Immunology under Professor Steinman at Rockefeller University. Presently, he is a Unit Leader of cellular immunotherapy at RCAI, RIKEN, Japan. He is mainly interested in dendritic cell biology, cancer immunology, and translational research by focusing on dendritic cells and NKT cells.
