Zuo-Xiang He

Zuo-Xiang He was born in China and received his M.D. degree from Peking Union Medical College (PUMC), China, in 1989. He served as a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Nice Medical School in France (1990–1992) and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Baylor College of Medicine in the USA (1994–1998). He became the youngest Professor of nuclear medicine at PUMC in 1994 and is currently a Distinguished Professor and the Chairman of nuclear medicine at Fu Wai Hospital, PUMC, and Chinese Academy of Medical Scienes, Beijing, China. He has extensive clinical and research experiences in the field of nuclear cardiology. His research interests have been clinical nuclear cardiology, myocardial perfusion and viability, and molecular imaging. He holds several active grants as a Principal Investigator with Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Health, China. He received ASNC Foundation’s 2008 Pilot and Feasibility Award. He has published over 150 articles in major peer-reviewed scientific journals and contributed to over 20 book chapters. He is currently the Vice President of the Chinese Society of Nuclear Medicine and on the Board of Directors of Cardiovascular Council of SNM and APSNC. He is on the Editorial Board of over 20 chinese and international journals, including Journal of Nuclear Medicine, European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, and Nuclear Medicine Communication and Cardiology.
