Engang Tian was born in Shandong Province, China, in 1980. He received the B.S. degree, M.S. degree, and Ph.D. degree from Shandong Normal University, Nanjing Normal University, and Donghua University, in 2002, 2005, and 2008 respectively. Since 2008, he has been with the School of Electrical and Automation Engineering, Nanjing Normal University. From February 2010 to May 2010, he was a Visiting Scholar with Northumbria University, Newcastle, England. In the past several years, he has published more than 30 papers in the journal of IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, IEEE Transactions on Systems Man and Cybernetics-Part B, IEEE Transactions on Systems Man and Cybernetics-Part A, International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, IET Control Theory & Applications, Fuzzy Sets and Systems, Information Sciences, Journal of the Franklin Institute, and so on. He is an Active Reviewer of many international journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, IEEE Transactions on Systems Man and Cybernetics-Part B, -Part A, Fuzzy sets and systems, IET Control Theory & Applications, Information Sciences. His current research interests include networked control systems, T-S fuzzy systems and time-delay systems, and robust control.
