Uwe Ehrt was born in 1969. He is a psychiatrist and psychotherapist. He graduated from the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. In 2002, he moved to Stavanger, Norway, where he worked with Geriatric Psychiatry at the local University Hospital. Beside his work as a clinician, he did research related to Parkinson's disease. Parts of this research, especially regarding the neuropsychiatric symptoms of Parkinson's disease, resulted in his Ph.D. thesis (2010) entitled “Depression in Parkinson's disease.” In 2011, he moved back to Germany, where he is the Chief Consultant of the Geriatric Psychiatric Department of the Psychiatric Hospital Bernburg (Salus gGmbH).
