Volodymyr Turkowski

Volodymyr Turkowski was born in Tovste, Ukraine, in 1971. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Kiev University, Ukraine, in 1995 and 1998, respectively. He worked as a (Postdoctoral) Researcher in several places in Europe (University of Salerno, Italy, 1998-2001 and Instituto Superior Tecnico, Lisbon, Portugal, 2001-2003) and the USA (Georgetown University, 2003-2006 and the University of Missouri-Columbia, 2006-2008). Currently, he serves as a Research Assistant Professor at Physics Department, the University of Central Florida, Orlando, Fla, USA. His main research interests include strongly correlated and nonequilibrium effects in nanostructures and bulk systems, especially Mott insulators and theory of superconductivity.
