Linan An

Linan An was born in Jilin province, China, in 1964. He received the BS in chemistry and chemical engineering and MS in Materials Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University, China, in 1986 and 1991, respectively, and Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Lehigh University, USA, in 1996. L. An was post-doctor at Cornell university (1996) and University of Colorado, Boulder (1996-2000). He is currently an associate professor at the University of central Florida. His research interest lays in polymer-derived ceramics, high-temperature MEMS/micro-sensors, nanostructured materials and nanocomposites. He authored/coauthored more than 100 journal papers. In 2009, he received Wang Kuancheng Fundation Award and Changjiang Endowed Chair Professorship. He is also served on the Editorial Board for Journal of Materials Science and Technology and Journal of Advanced Ceramics.
