Othman Echi was born in Tunisia in 1962. He received the B.S. degree in mathematics from the ENS in 1986 and the M.A. degree from the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis, in 1988, he received the Doctorate of Speciality and the Doctorate of State in 1990 and 1993, respectively. In 2001, he obtained his Habilitation degree from the University of Aix-Marseille III, France. Since 2001, He serves as a Professor at University of Tunis el-Manar (Faculty of Sciences of Tunis). Presently, he works as a Professor at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia. His research interests are mainly in the areas of commutative algebra, discrete mathematics and its applications, elementary number theory and its applications, foliation theory, general topology, and theory of categories.
