Othman Echi received the B.S. degree in mathematics from the ENS in 1986 and the M.S. degree from the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis, University of Tunis El-Manar, Tunis, Tunisia, in 1988. He received the Doctorate degree of specialty and the Doctorate degree of state in 1990 and 1993, respectively. In 2001, he obtained his Habilitation degree from the University of Aix-Marseille III, France. Since 2001, he has been serving as a Professor at the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis, University of Tunis El-Manar, Tunis, Tunisia. Presently, he works as a Professor at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. His research interests are mainly in the areas of commutative algebra, discrete mathematics and its applications, elementary number theory and its applications, foliation theory, general topology, and theory of categories.
