Chi-Chun Lo received his B.S. degree in mathematics from the National Central University, Zhongli, Taoyuan County, Taiwan, in 1974, his M.S. degree in computer science from Memphis State University, Memphis, Tenn., USA, in 1978, and his Ph.D. degree in computer science from Polytechnic University, Brooklyn, NY, USA, in 1987. From 1981 to 1986, he was employed by AT&T Bell Laboratories, Holmdel, NJ, USA. From 1986 to 1990, Lo worked for Bell Communications Research, Piscataway, NJ, USA. Since 1990, he has been with the Institute of Information Management, National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu City, Taiwan. At present, he serves as the Professor of the institute. He had been the Chair of the Department of Information and Finance Management and Associate Dean of College of Management. Lo has published over 200 research papers in several journals and conferences including IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, and IEEE Communications Magazine. His major research interests include network design algorithms, network management, information security, and traffic information system.
