Leo Chau-kaung Liau

Leo Chau-Kuang Liau was born in Taoyang, Taiwan, in 1965. He received his BS in Chemical Engineering from Tunghai University, Taiwan (1988), MS in Chemical Engineering from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan (1990), MS in Electrical Engineering from University of Missouri, USA (1998) and PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Missouri, USA in 1997. In 1998, he worked as post-doc in University of Missouri, USA on super-capacitor research. From 1999 to 2001, he was a researcher in the Solar Cell Laboratory of Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Taiwan. In 2001, he joined the Chemical Engineering and Materials Department at Yuan-Ze University, Taiwan as an assistant professor. Presently, he is a Professor in the Chemical Engineering and Materials Department at Yuan-Ze University, Taiwan. He is mainly interested in the design and development of thin film ceramic transistors, solar energy technology, and photonic crystals.
