Aamir Siddiqui was raised in Chicago area. Siddiqui received the Undergraduate B.A. degree, English, from Johns Hopkins University and the M.D. degree from Northwestern University. He spent two years in wound healing research in Northwestern University. He received a Plastic Surgery Fellowship from the University of Minnesota and Hand Surgery Fellowship from Kleinert Institute, Louisville, Ky, USA. He has been a Senior Staff at Henry Ford Hospital since 1999, a Division Head of plastic surgery at Henry Ford Hospital since 2007, and an Assistant Professor of Surgery Wayne State School of Medicine. He is board certified in plastic surgery and hand surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgery and Member of Board of Directors, National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Association of Hand Surgery, Wound Healing Society, American Medical Association with the Association of Plastic Surgery Chairmen Membership. Siddiqui is a Reviewer at Hand Journal, Journal of Hand and Microsurgery, and Journal of Wound Repair and Regeneration.
