Axel Petzold

Axel Petzold graduated from the Medical University of Freiburg (Germany) were he received his M.D. degree in experimental ophthalmology with summa cum laude. He trained as a neurologist in France (Lyon), Germany (Munich), and the UK (London) were he obtained his Ph.D. degree in neuroimmunology (University College London). His research interest is axonal degeneration in optic neuritis and related disorders. He supervises students at University College London and works as a Neurologist at the MS Center Amsterdam.
