Haven B. Battles
Haven B. Battles earned her Ph.D. in applied social psychology from The George Washington University, Washington, DC, USA, in 2000. She has 19 years of experience in HIV/AIDS research and program evaluation with the New York State Department, Health and National Cancer Institute , 6 years experience in pediatric cancer psychosocial research with the National Cancer Institute, and for the past year has served as the Senior Grants Development Manager for the Center for Community Health within the New York State Department of Health. Her current research interests are policy, systems and environmental change interventions for chronic disease prevention and health promotion, and family adjustment to pediatric cancer. Areas of expertise include program evaluation, HIV public health research, pediatric/adolescent HIV research, behavioral HIV research, chronic disease prevention, and health promotion and grant writing.
