William Zhu is a Chair Professor and Director of the Laboratory of Granular Computing, Minnan Normal University, Zhangzhou, Fujian, China. He obtained his first M.S. degree in mathematics from Xinjiang University, Ürümqi, China, in 1986, his second M.S. degree in systems engineering from the University of Arizona, Tucson, Ariz., USA, in 2002, and his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand, in 2007.
