Claire Troakes holds B.S.degree in pharmacology and physiology from University of Southampton, Southampton, UK, and M.S. degree in neuroscience from King's College London, London, UK. Dr. Troakes received his Ph.D. degree in the neurobiology of anxiety from University of Newcastle. Troakes is currently the Coordinator of the MRC London Neurodegenerative Diseases Brain Bank based at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London, London, UK. The Brain Bank provides a resource of human brain and spinal cord tissue to the neuroscience research community. The Brain Bank deals with all aspects of tissue donation, from consent to collection, storage, and distribution to researchers. Troakes's research activities are focused on neuropathology and molecular biology of neurodegenerative disease.
