Johanna Delladetsima received a Medical degree from Medical School, Westfallische Wilhelms University of Munster, Germany,1975, and D.Phil. degree from Medical School, Westfallische Wilhelms University of Munster, Germany, 1975. Delladetsima is an Associate Professor pathology at Medical School, University of Athens, Greece. Delladetsima is a Member of EASL, ESP(European Society of Pathology), Hellenic Society for the Study of the Liver, Hans Popper Hepatopathology Society, and Hellenic Society of Pathology. Delladetsima's special interests are liver pathology and gastrointestinal pathology. Delladetsima's research areas are chronic liver disease, focus on hepatitis C in general population and in renal transplant recipients and on hepatic progenitor cells in liver diseases. Delladetsima is a Coordinator of Digestive Diseases Working Group, Hellenic Society of Pathology, 2005–2007, and Representative of the Greek Society of Pathology in the European Network of Quality Assurance in Liver Biopsy Interpretation, 2001–2004. Delladetsima has 76 full publications in peer-reviewed international journals, 45 full publications related to liver pathology, 105 abstracts in international congresses, 3 chapters in books, and over 500 citations.
