Osamu Handa

Osamu Handa, holder of the M.D. and Ph.D. degrees, is Assistant Professor at Department of Molecular Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, Kyoto, Japan. Handa's basic research field is the oxidative stress in pathophysiology and in gastroenterology. Handa's current interests are (1) helicobacter pylori and gastric carcinogenesis and (2) mucosal permeability and small intestinal function.
