Jeffrey Junfeng Pan
Jeffrey Junfeng Pan received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2008 and the B.S. degree in computer science from the Sun Yat-sen University in China in 2003. He is currently a Research Scientist at Facebook Inc., Palo Alto, Calif, USA. He was a Research Engineer at Google Inc., Mountain View, Calif, USA from 2007 to 2010. His main research interests include machine learning, data mining, and mobile computing. He has many papers published in ACM, IEEE, and AAAI journals and conferences. He serves as a General Cochair/Session Chair for several conferences and workshops. He is a (senior) program committee member for more than 30 research conferences. He also serves as a Regular Reviewer for more than 10 journals in ACM, IEEE, and others. Pan was the Champion of ACM Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (KDD) Cup 2005 on all the three awards: Precision, Performance, and Creativity Awards. He also received Google's Prestigious OC Award (a.k.a EMG Award) in 2010. He is listed in Marquis Who is Who in the World/Science and Engineering/Business.
