Miroslav Pohanka works as an associate professor and holds RNDr and Ph.D. degrees. He currently serves as the head of a group at Faculty of Military Health Sciences, University of Defence, Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic. His contemporary research is aimed at toxicology, biochemistry of cholinergic system, biochemistry of acetylcholinesterase, and assay of neurotoxic toxins or drugs. Pohanka participates as a Teacher in different institutions where he lectures in biochemistry, biochemical methods, and toxicology in the Faculty of Military Health Sciences, University of Defense (Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic); Faculty of Pharmacy, Charles University in Prague (Prague, Czech Republic); Faculty of Health Studies, University of Pardubice (Pardubice, Czech Republic); and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences (Brno, Czech Republic). He also participates as a guarantee of some lectures. Pohanka is a Member of the editorial boards in some journals (Journal of Biosensors & Bioelectronics, Biosafety, Obesity & Weight loss Therapy, Journal of Bioterrorism and Biodefense, and Clinical Trials). He serves as a supervisor of both pregraduate and postgraduate students. Owing to research output, he is the author or coauthor of 147 papers with IF and he received 816 citations.
