Rashid A. Ganeev
Rashid A. Ganeev received the physical engineering degree, the Ph.D. degree in nonlinear optics, and the D.S. degree in laser physics from Tashkent Polytechnic Institute, Institute of Electronics, Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and Heat Physics Department, Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in 1977, 1987, and 1999, respectively. Since 2000 he is a Principal Scientist at the Scientific Association Akadempribor, Tashkent Uzbekistan, where he carries out the research in the areas of the nonlinear optical characterization of various media, frequency conversion of laser radiation, and high-order harmonic generation in laser plasma. He is a Senior Associate of the ICTP, Trieste, Italy. He received the 1998 State Committee for Science and Technology of Uzbekistan Prize, the 2002 Galileo Galilei Award of the ICO. He received various grants for his studies in the areas of nonlinear optics (the 1994 International Science Foundation Grant, the 1997 Third World Associateship Scheme Grant, the 2000 COE Grant of the Ministry of Sciences and Technology of Japan, the 2006 Grant of Fond Quebecois sur la Recherche de la Nature et Technologies, the 2006 Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Grant, etc.). He was recognized by the Organization of Islamic Conference as one of the Leading Scientists of the OIC. He serves as a member of the editorial board of the Open Spectroscopy Journal. He is a coauthor of more than 180 papers. He carried out his studies in the area of laser physics and nonlinear optics in Malaysia (SIRIM), India (RRCAT), Canada (INRS), Japan (ISSP), and so forth.
