Mehrdad Hamidi

Mehrdad Hamidi has got his Pharm.D. (1993) and Ph.D. (1999) degrees from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran. He spent two Postdoc periods in the University of Alberta, Canada (1999-2000), and the University of Toronto, Canada (from 2000 to 2002). Currently, he serves as a Professor of Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology and Dean at the School of Pharmacy, Zanjan University of Medical Sciences, Zanjan, Iran. Hamidi has published several papers in world-class journals; among them highly-cited review articles published in top-of-the-field journals can be seen; two of them were selected as hottest papers of Informa Healthcare (2007-2008) and Elsevier (2009-2010). He has also published one book and three chapters in books published by the most famous publishers in the world. His main research field is nanotechnology-based drug delivery systems, mainly using the possibilities of nanoparticulate systems for the enhancement of the brain penetration of the drugs. He acts as a Member of the editorial board for 12 well-known journals.
