Diego Chiappetta was born in Buenos Aires, Argentine, in 1975. He graduated in Pharmacy at Universidad de Buenos Aires (2001) and received his Ph.D. degree from the same university (2006) on the area of pharmaceutical technology. In 2007–2008, he carried out a National Science Research Council (CONICET) postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry. At present, Dr. Chiappetta currently holds an Adjunct Professor position in the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and is also an Assistant Investigator of CONICET. His research interests are focused on drug delivery “nano”systems, incluiding polymeric micelles and polymeric nanoparticles for drug delivery. He is a Founding Member of the Argentine Association of Nanomedicine (NANOMED-AR). Moreover, Chiappetta has published 45 research articles and 1 book chapter and holds 2 patent applications. He is a Reviewer of international journals in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. He has undertaken projects funded by the University of Buenos Aires and by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Argentine. Chiappetta was awarded with diverse national and international scientific prizes and distinctions.
