Feng Feng received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Northwest University, Xi’an, China, and his Ph.D. degree from Shaanxi Normal University, Xi’an, China. He is an Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics in Xi’an University of Posts and Telecommunications, Xi’an, China, where he also serves as the Deputy Director of the department. His main research interests include mathematical theories for modeling uncertainty, soft sets, and related soft computing models, fuzzy mathematics, rough set theory, and data mining, decision-making under uncertainty, and semiring theory. Feng is the author/coauthor of more than 20 papers in ISI journals of high reputation including European Journal of Operational Research, INS, Theoretical Computer Science, and Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics. He has 5 papers totally cited more than 225 times by other researchers in SCI, including an ESI hot paper and 5 ESI highly cited papers. He has been an Editorial Member of Mathematical Logical area of The Scientific World Journal (an ISI journal) and many other international academic journals. Feng also served as a Member of the Program/Technical/Organizing/International Advisory Committee for many international conferences like DaEng-2013, TEL-NET 2013, and CITaDiM 2013. He has been invited to review papers for more than 36 SCI indexed journals, including IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, European Journal of Operational Research, INS, PLOS ONE, Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics, Computers and Mathematics with Applications, Applied Mathematics Letters, and Knowledge-Based Systems. He has directed five research projects sponsored by Provincial or National Government of China. He won the First Prize of Science and Technology of Universities in Shaanxi Province (year 2013) and some other research awards. He was also awarded The Young Scientist Star of Shaanxi Province of China in 2014.
