Franck Petit

Franck Petit received a Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Picardie Jules Verne (Amiens, France) in 1998. He spent more than ten years in the industry of computer science holding various positions. In the early 1990s, he was the vice head of a data-processing center. Petit joined the University of Picardie Jules Verne as an Associate Professor in 1998. And in 2004, he became a Professor at the same University, and at the MIS Lab as well (formely, LaRIA Lab.). Having spent one year as a Visiting Researcher at the INRIA, LIP/ENS Lyon, Petit joined the University Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris 6, with LiP6 in 2009. His research focuses on algorithmic aspects of synchronization, stabilization, and fault tolerance in distributed systems. He also works in the area of networks of mobile robots.
