Dr. Francesco Feo is Professor Emeritus of General Pathology at the University of Sassari, Italy. He received a Medical degree from the University of Torino, and became research assistant at the Institute of General Pathology of this University. After a three years fellowship at the Institute of Biochemistry, of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Strasbourg, he was designated assistant professor of General Pathology and Experimental Oncology at the Medical Faculty of the University of Torino. In 1978 he joined the Medical Faculty of the University of Sassari, as associate professor of General Pathology, and one year later he became full professor of General Pathology and director of the Institute of General Pathology, now Division of Experimental Pathology and Oncology of the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine. Other teaching experiences of Dr. Feo include General Pathology at the Dentistry School, Medical Genetic at the Medical Faculty of the University of Sassari, and General Oncology at the PhD School of Experimental and Molecular Pathology of University of Torino. In the different periods of time he covered numerous appointments at the University of Sassari, becoming member of the Integrated Senate and of the Board of Directors, vice-president of the College of the Advisors, and president of the Medical Faculty Committee for Didactics. He was or is still member of the “Sociètè de Biochimie (Paris)”, EACR, AACR, AmereRian Association of Pathologists, Italian Society of Pathology. He has been President or Member of the Organizing Committees of International Meetings bdtween 1981 and 2001, and is a member of the Editorial Board of Hepatology, World J. Gastroenterol., Int. J. Oncol., J. Exper. Integrat. Med., and reviewer of more than 20 peer reviewed journals.
