Nuri Azbar
0000-0002-9520-924XNuri Azbar serves as a Professor at the Bioengineering Department at the University of Ege, Izmir, Turkey. His professional research interest is the use of environmental biotechnology focusing on waste valorization through biotechnological production of value-added chemicals from waste materials. His main expertise is in the field of bioenergy systems, including biomethane and biohydrogen production technologies. Biopolymer production is also another area of interest. His research and consulting work has been supported by governmental and industrial research funds. He has been serving as a referee for more than 25 technical journals. He is actively involved in IAHE (International Hydrogen Energy Association) and a Member of Steering Committee for the Biohydrogen Division under IAHE. He is also the founder of The Student Chapter for Hydrogen Research at Ege University (IAHE-Ege). He holds a Doctorate degree in environmental engineering from the University of Vanderbilt, Nashville, Tenn, USA.
