Jamal Mahajna

MIGAL, Israel

Jamal A Mahajna was born on Umm-El Fahem in Israel and his PhD received from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, in the department of Molecular Genetics under the supervision of Prof. Amos Oppenheim. In 1987 He joint Oncogene Science, Inc., NY, USA for a post-doctorate training and later join the Cancer Department. In 1995 he promoted to research investigator and later to a senior research investigator. In 1998 he went to a Sabbatical leave at the Biology Department, Technion- Israeli Institute of Technology, Israel. Later in 1998 he become a research investigator at the R&D Regional Center-The Galilee Society, Shefa-Amr, Israel and in 2001 became the Scientific Director of the institute. In 2002 he joint Migal as the Head of Cancer Drug Discovery program, Kiryat Shmona, Israel. Also he became a senior lecture at Tel-Hai College, the Department of Biotechnology, Kiryat Shmona, Israel and currently (2011) he is the chair of the nutritional science department.
