Mohamed Fahmy El-Sayed

Mohamed Fahmy El-Sayed is a Professor of applied mathematics (fluid mechanics) at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. He received his B.S. (in mathematics) and M.S. degrees (in applied mathematics) from the Faculty of Science at the same university in Egypt. He received his Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics (theoretical physics) from the University of Antwerp, Belgium, in 1994. His research interests include fluid mechanics, electro- and magnetohydrodynamics, flows through porous media, viscoelastic and non-Newtonian fluids, hydrodynamic stability, and nonlinearity. He is a Reviewer for the following international journals: Journal of Porous Media, selected topics and reviews in the Journal of Porous Media, Meccanica, International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, Z. Naturforsch. A, Transport in Porous Media, Journal of the Taiwan Institute of Chemical Engineers, International Journal of Heat and Fluid Flow, Chemical Engineering Communications, Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications, Journal of Non-Newtonian Fluid Mechanics, Czechoslovak Journal of Physics, and the Journal of Faculty of Education (Egypt). El-Sayed is the Tutor of 8 Ph.D. fellowships and more than 11 M.S. theses, and he participates in several conferences in the European Countries, in Italy, The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and so forth. Professor El-Sayed joined now the Department of Mathematics, College of Science, Qassim University, Saudi Arabia, and he worked also at the at Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, United Arab Emirates University, from 1998 to 2004.
