Mao-Sheng Cao

Beijing Institute of Technology, China

Cao Mao-Sheng, got his doctor's degree in 1998 at Harbin Institute of Technology. He is a professor, School of Material Science and Engineering, Beijing Institute of Technology. He is the executive editor of the series books towards materials science and engineering (in Chinese) and a member of editor board of Journal of material engineering (in China) and Surface technology (in China). Now he is the reviewer for ACS, John Wiley, Elsevier, Springer, AIP, and IOP series publications, etc.., including Adv. Mater., Carbon, Cryst. Grow. Des.. Dr. Cao engaged in nano-material science and functional materials, including microstructure, electronic structure and dielectric properties of the nano-materials, etc.. His team has synthesized many special kinds of nano-sized ZnO and MnO2. And he also engaged in exploring new carbon nano-materials, such as graphene and carbon nanotube. They also engaged in exploring new nano-sized piezoelectricity ceramic. His team found that the ZnO nano-whisker has special physical properties, and established the electron transport mode in carbon composites and found the ion conductivity and thermal relaxation of nano-material at high temperature. Recently, they first found the multi-relaxation properties in hetero-structure nano-material. He published six books related to nano-science and technology and authorized 15 patent license. His team published more than 200 academic papers which were indexed by SCI and EI more than 200 times; and relative research was cited by peer more than 2000 times in global academic community.
