Ivan Paponov

Ivan Paponov received his Habilitation degree from the University of Freiburg, Germany, in 2011, and Ph.D. degree in biology from Timirjazev Academy Moscow, Russia. Since 2008, he has been an Associate Lecturer (Akademischer Rat), University of Freiburg. From 2002 to 2008, he was an Assistant Professor (C1-position), University of Freiburg; from 2001 to 2002, a Postdoctoral Associate, Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research, Cologne; from 1996 to 2000, a Research Associate, Department of Plant Nutrition, University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart; from 1994 to 1996, a Research Associate, Department of Crop Production and Grassland Research, University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart; and from 1992 to 1994, a Research Associate, Department of Agricultural Chemistry, Lomonosov State University, Moscow. His areas of expertise include abiotic stress response, nitrogen, root growth and development, auxin, and plant hormones.
