Fabio Coppedè
Fabio Coppedè received a Ph.D. degree in biological sciences on November 2000 and a Ph.D. degree in microbiology and genetics on February 2005. Since 2010, Professor Coppedè is an Adjunct Professor of genetics at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Pisa. He is also Principal Investigator at the Pisa University Hospital, program of genetics and epigenetics. Professor Coppedè’s main research activities include: (1) one-carbon metabolism and complex human diseases with focus on Down Syndrome, neurodegenerative diseases, colorectal cancer, and others; (2) genetics and epigenetics of neurodegenerative diseases; (3) genetics and epigenetics of cancer and (4) oxidative DNA damage and repair in neurodegeneration.
