Gongkang Fu

Gongkang Fu works as a Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering Wayne State University, in Detroit, Mich, USA. His areas of expertise include bridge engineering, engineering mechanics, structural and material testing, construction materials, and infrastructure systems. Dr. Fu’s research work has been in areas including infrastructure responses to natural disaster, probabilistic modeling and monitoring of bridge loading and health, effect of changing loading on infrastructure condition and repair costs, bridge inspection using new technologies such as coherent laser radar systems, and performance-based seismic design spectra for bridges.
