Sibylle Kozek-Langenecker had residency at the Department of Anesthesiology and General Intensive Care, University of Vienna, Austria, (1992–1999) and a research fellowship in nephrology (1997-1998), with a Mentor (Alfred K. Cheung, M.D., University of Utah, Salt Lake City, USA). She was awarded Max Kade Foundation Inc., Research grants of the Austrian Pain Society: Vereins für Wissenschaft und Forschung in Anästhesiologie u. Schmerzmedizin, Jubiläumsfonds der Österreichischen Nationalbank, and Medizinisch-Wissenschaftlicher Fonds des Bürgermeisters der Bundeshauptstadt Wien. She has been the Chairwoman of the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care, Evangelisches Krankenhaus Wien, since June 2008. She spent a cooling period as a staff physician and responsible anesthetist for the Outpatient and Experimental Anesthesiological Division, Department of Anesthesiology and General Intensive Care, University of Vienna, (from April 2008 to 1999). She is a Memebr of professional societies including Österreichische Gesellschaft für Anesthesiologie, Reanimation und Intensivtherapie (ÖGARI), Task Force on Preanaesthesiological Evaluation of the ÖGARI, European Society of Anaesthesiologists (ESA), and the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA). She is the Chairwoman of Task Force on Perioperative Coagulation (AGPG) of ÖGARI and a Member of Subcommittee 6 Transfusion and Haemostasis of the European Society of Anaesthesiologists (ESA).
