Imed Kacem
Imed Kacem received his Diploma of “INGENIEUR” from ENSAIT (French High School) and his M.S. degree from Lille 1 University, both in 2000, his Ph.D. degree in computer science in 2003 from the Ecole Centrale de Lille, and his Habilitation degree (HDR) from Paris-Dauphine University in 2007. He works as a Full Professor at Paul Verlaine University of Metz (UPVM) and the Head of its Computer Science Department. His research interests include combinatorial optimization and scheduling. He is the author of several publications in refereed journals, conferences, books, and chapters of books. He is the Area Editor for Computers & Industrial Engineering. He is on the Editorial Boards of Advances in OR, European Journal of Industrial Engineering, International Journal of Advanced Operations Management, IJPS, IJAMC, JSCI, JPAM and JISE. Kacem was the Organization Chairman of IEEE/CIE39, IEEE/ICSSSM06, and WAC/ISIAC06. He received the 3rd Robert Faure Award from the ROADEF in 2009 and the 2010 Research Award from the Association of the Lorraine Universities. He is listed in Who’s Who in the World.
