M.V.Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia

Yury A. Koksharov was born in Moscow, Russia, in 1964. He received higher education diploma (in physics) and Ph.D. degree (in low temperature physics) from M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia, in 1987 and 1991, respectively. Since 1990, Koksharov is with M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University. In 1990-1991, he was a Junior Researcher in the Crystallography and Crystal Chemistry Department (Faculty of Geology); during 1991-1997, he worked as an Assistant Professor at the Special Center for Research and Education of this university. Since 1997, he is at the Faculty of Physics. At present he is an Associated Professor of the General Physics Department. He is/has been a participant of many Russian and international scientific projects in nanoscience, solid-state physics, and biophysics from Russian and joint Russian/international funds (RFBR, ISF, INTAS, ISTC). Koksharov is mainly interested in magnetic and magnetoresonance phenomena in solid-state and soft-matter systems: high-temperatures superconductors, magnetic oxides, pi-conjugated polymers, organic magnetics, nanoparticles, and nanostructures.
