Ming Li received his M.S. degree in ship structural mechanics from China Ship Scientific Research Center (CSSRC) and his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the City University of Hong Kong. From 1990 to 1995, he was with CSSRC. From 1995 to 1999, he was with the Automation Department, Wuxi University of Light Industry, China. From 2002 to 2004, he was at the School of Computing, National University of Singapore. In 2004, he joined the East China Normal University (ECNU) as a Professor and the Director of Division of Communications and Information Systems. He is currently the vice head of the Institute of Systems Science, ECNU. His research areas relate to applied statistics, computer science, measurement, and control. He has published over 190 papers in international journals and international conferences in those areas.
