Il-Keun Kong

Il-Keun Kong serves as a Professor in the field of reproductive biology at Gyeongsang National University, Republic of Korea. He works as the Principal Investigator of the research and development projects in Korea on the production of feline and bovine cloned and transgenic animals. His main research is focusing the production of transgenic cloned animals to produce pharmacotherapeutics medicine and transgenic animal expressing reporter gene. He developed embryonic, mesenchymal, and other progenitor stem-cell lines in his laboratory. His team is also working on restoration of endangered feline species by somatic cell nuclear transfer. He received his Ph.D. degree in animal reproductive biology from the Gyeongsang National University.
