Essam Elsayed MD MSc earned his medical degree from Alexandria university school of Medicine and a master degree in clinical research from Tufts University. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center ans is Board certified in internal medicine since 2003. He completed an NIH sponsored Nephrology research fellowship at Tufts Medicl Center and is board certified in Nephrologysince 2008. He is a member of the American college of physician, American Society of Nephrology and the National Kidney Foundation. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical School and a staff nephrologist at Dallas VAMC. His area of expertise and research interesta are: Cardiovascular disease and kidney disease, Hypertension, Obesity and kidney disease and phosphate toxicity.
