Heidrun Kjellberg graduated with LDS in 1978 in Malmö and received her certificate as Specialist in orthodontics in Göteborg in 1985 and a Ph.D. degree in odontology from Göteborg in 1995 with the thesis: “Juvenile chronic arthritis; Dentofacial morphology, growth, mandibular function, and orthodontic treatment. ” From 1999 to 2009, she was the Head of the Postgraduate Training in orthodontics in Göteborg. In 2008, she received the Docent (Associate professor) degree. Presently, Kjellberg is a Guest Teacher at the Department of Orthodontics, Institute of Odontology, the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg and also works in the Center of Dental Specialist Care/Orthodontics in Lund. She is a Member of the Board of The Swedish Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Kjellberg’s main research interest is in craniofacial growth and development, caries related to orthodontics, functional appliances, and impacted canines.
