Krzysztof Pietrusewicz

Krzysztof Pietrusewicz is currently an Assistant Professor in the Institute of Control Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Szczecin University of Technology, Szczecin, Poland. Dr. Pietrusewicz has obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in control engineering from Szczecin University of Technology, Szczecin, Poland, in 2002 and 2005, respectively. His current research is in control engineering, computer controlled systems, hybrid control systems, real-time systems, artificial intelligence, as well as the mechatronics. Dr. Pietrusewicz has almost 7 years of experience in teaching. He is involved in three research projects connected with implementation of complex control algorithms, including artificial intelligence. Dr. Pietrusewicz has published about 30 papers in topics related with two degrees of freedom model-following PID control, programmable automation controllers, and fuzzy PID control. He, as a coresearcher, has introduced simplified engineering design methods of fuzzy-logic PI/PD, PID, and PIDD controllers. He is also coauthor of two books Two-Degrees of Freedom Robust PID Control in Practice, in Polish, 2006; Programmable Automation Controllers PAC, in Polish, 2007. At present, he teaches courses in embedded control systems, hybrid control systems, programmable automation controllers as well as PLCs, digital control of intelligent servodrives (digital motion control). He is also an Organizing Committee Member of the IEEE/IFAC International Conference on Methods and Models in Automation and Robotics MMAR, Member of the Centre of Mechatronics at the Szczecin University of Technology research-team, and senior editor in Polish edition of Control Engineering magazine.
