Dr. Tara McMorrow has been a lecturer in Renal Pharmacology and Toxicology and a Conway Research fellow in the Conway Institute of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science in University College Dublin since 2002. She is one of the group leaders of the Renal Disease Research Group in UCD (www.ucd.ie/renal). After completing a PhD in molecular biology at University College Galway, Ireland, she subsequently worked as a research fellow in the Department of Cell Biology at Erasmus University in The Netherlands. Following this she was employed as a senior research fellow in the Department of Pharmacology in UCD, where she was subsequently appointed lecturer. Her area of expertise is in molecular pharmacology and toxicology, with specific interest in the development of renal disease and the identification of novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
