Boo Johansson works as a Professor of psychology, especially geropsychology, at the University of Gothenburg (since 2001); an Adjunct Professor of biobehavioral health, College of Health and Human Development, Penn State University (since 1993); a Research Psychologist and an Associate Professor, Institute of Gerontology, School of Health Sciences, Jönköping University, between 1975 and 2001. He gained a specialist Diploma in clinical psychology, in 1995; a Ph.D. degree, in 1985; has been a licenced psychologist, in 1982; a B.A. degree in psychology, Uppsala, 1975. His fields of research are cognition and mental health in late adulthood and aging, normal aging, compromised cognition, and dementia. In addition to clinical, twin, and longitudinal population-based aging studies. Johansson's areas of teaching are mainly on adult development and aging, cognition, neuropsychology, mental health and aging.
