Jonathan I. Izawa

Jonathan I. Izawa, M.D., Ph.D., graduated from the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Medicine in 1994 and subsequently completed his urology residency at the same university. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 1999. He completed a basic science research and clinical fellowship as a McLaughlin Fellow in urologic oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in 2001. He works now as an Associate Professor of surgery and oncology in the Divisions of Surgical Oncology and Urology at the University of Western Ontario. His clinical practice primarily involves the management of urologic malignancies. He is also involved in research on bladder, prostate, and kidney cancer. He serves as an Associate Scientist at the Lawson Health Research Institute.
