Zhong-Ming Li presently works as a Professor in the College of Polymer Science and Engineering at Sichuan University, Chengdu, China. His current positions are Vice-Dean of College of Polymer Science and Engineering at Sichuan University, Editorial Member of the Journal of Engineering Plastic Processing and Applications, Executive Member of China Plastics Processing Industry Association, and Executive Member of Sichuan Youth Association for Science and Technology. Li earned a B.S. degree in polymer materials and engineering at Northwest Polytechnic University, Fremont, Calif, USA, in 1993 and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in polymer science and engineering from Sichuan University in 1996 and 2003, respectively. He worked as a Visiting Research Scientist at Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY, USA, from 2008 to 2009. Li received Key Fund for International Cooperation and Exchange of the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2012, Outstanding Youth Foundation of Natural Science Foundation of China in 2009, and other research government funding and cooperative research projects with companies. Li has authored and coauthored over 200 papers, among which over 170 papers have been indexed in SCI, and SCI cites exceed 2000 times. He has applied for 14 national invention patens as the first inventor and 5 patents have been authorized. His research interests include polymer processing technology, molding and machine, morphology, structure, properties of polymers and manipulation of morphology, and structure of polymers during processing.
