Jean-Marc SABATIER has a Ph.D. and HDR degrees in Biochemistry. He is a Director of research at the French 'Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique' (CNRS). He acts as a consultant for major pharmaceutical and/or cosmetic companies, as well as expert for some national and international institutions. Dr. Sabatier works mainly in the field of animal toxins. He also designs immunomodulatory and antimicrobial drugs, as well as contributes to the field of peptide and protein engineering. He has contributed more than 130 scientific articles, 180 communications, and 52 patents. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal 'Infectious Disorders-Drug Targets' and a member of 22 Editorial Boards of journals, such as the 'Journal of Biological Chemistry' and 'Peptides'. He reviewed articles submitted for publication in more than 56 specialized international journals with impact factors up to 20.
