Dirk W. Lachenmeier serves as a State Certified Food Chemist and as the Laboratory Head of the Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Laboratory (CVUA) of Karlsruhe, which is a governmental food- and alcohol- control institution in Germany. He obtained the Ph.D. degree in forensic toxicology from the University of Bonn. His multifaceted interdisciplinary research interests span from food science and toxicology to analytical chemistry and chemometrics. He authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications.
