Carolina Acosta Hospitaleche
Carolina ACOSTA HOSPITALECHE obtained his degree in 1999 and his Ph.D. in Natural Sciences at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (Argentina) in 2004. Her doctoral thesis "The fossil penguins (Aves, Sphenisciformes) from Patagonia. Systematics, biogeography and evolution " obtained the maximum qualification, and since then, she was dedicated to the study of fossil seabirds from South America and Antarctica, with particular emphasis on fossil penguins. Among her numerous publications, both systematic and taphonomic studies, and anatomy, morphometry and functional morphology contributions are included. She has received awards for his achievements as a researcher in the field of paleontology and currently is the head researcher of projects in this same topic. She currently works in the Division of Vertebrate Paleontology at the Museum of La Plata (Argentina), as a researcher of CONICET (National Scientific and Technological Research Council) since 2007. She is also on the executive Committee of the Palaeontological Association Argentina since 2010.
