Bang Chi Chen

Bang Chi Chen was born in Ruian, Zhejiang Province, China, in 1964. He received his B.S. degree in chemistry in 1984 from Hangzhou University. Following graduation, he worked for three years at the same university as an Instructor, teaching undergraduate organic chemistry while conducting research under Professor Xian Huang. In 1987 he began graduate study at Drexel University and, in the following year, thesis research under the guidance of Professor Franklin A. Davis. He obtained the M. S. degree in 1989 and the Ph.D. degree in 1991. In the same year, he joined Bristol-Myers Squibb Company in Syracuse, New York as a Research Scientist and now is a Research Fellow in Discovery Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Research and Development, Bristol-Myers Squibb, in Princeton, New Jersey. His research efforts have resulted in over 120 publications and patents.
